Objectives of the Leipziger Notenweg
The approximately 8 km long Leipziger Notenweg (Leipzig Music Walk) combines two main concerns of the Notenspur initiative: to make the rich musical heritage of the city tangible and to link this rich musical history with places and green areas of the city. This is how the idea came about to develop a longer musical walking trail through Leipzig, leading mainly through parks and green spaces close to the city centre and
touching on some of the prominent points of Leipzig's musical past and present. (An initiative of Notenspur Leipzig e.V., the German Society for Garden Art and Landscape Culture DGGL in Saxony, the ADFC Leipzig, the Foundation Citizens for Leipzig, the Green Ring Leipzig and many friends).
